The Summit LNG terminal at Maheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar will be shut for three days from November 4 for emergency maintenance. Daily supply to the national gas grid will fall from 920 million cubic feet to 600 million cubic feet as a result.
Gas pressure may be low across the country during this period.
Petrobangla announced this in a press release on Sunday (November 1).
The release said regasification at the Summit LNG terminal in Maheshkhali will stop from 8am on November 4 to 4pm on November 7 for emergency maintenance.
During this time, daily supply to the national gas grid will drop by 320 million cubic feet, from 920 million cubic feet to 600 million cubic feet.
Customers across the country may therefore experience low gas pressure.
Similar maintenance work was carried out in December last year.
Petrobangla apologised to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
