Results of the re-scrutiny of answer scripts from the 2026 HSC and equivalent examinations will be published on 23 November. A total of 291,209 students across the country’s 11 education boards have applied to have 1,087,413 scripts checked again.

Prof Syed Aktaruzzaman, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this on Sunday (8 November). Applications for re-scrutiny opened on 1 November and closed at 12 noon on Sunday. In the eight days, about 291,000 students applied across the 11 boards, and more than 1,087,000 scripts must be re-examined.

The deadline had first been set for 7 November, but because of server problems it was extended by one day, to 12 noon on Sunday, for students’ convenience.

The HSC and equivalent results were published on 31 October, and applications for re-scrutiny opened the next day.

Far more students have applied this year than in the past two years. In 2025, about 226,000 students applied for re-scrutiny of 428,000 scripts.
