The 13th National Parliament’s standing committee on the Ministry of Finance has recommended passing the Bank Resolution (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The recommendation came at a meeting held Thursday at the National Parliament building, chaired by committee chairman Mushfiqur Rahman.
The meeting held detailed discussions on the Bank Resolution (Amendment) Bill, 2026. After thorough scrutiny and review of the bill, the meeting recommended it be passed by parliament in its amended form.
Committee members Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, Moinul Islam Khan, Md. Shahadat Hossain, Md. Saiful Alam and Syed Zainul Abedin attended the meeting.
The secretaries of the Financial Institutions Division and the Finance Division, senior Bangladesh Bank officials, and relevant officials from the Finance Ministry and National Parliament Secretariat were also present.
