Yoheiry Mola Dominguez, the contestant representing the Dominican Republic, has been crowned this year’s Miss World, winning the title as the best among 111 countries. Yoheiry Mola, who won the title of the world’s most beautiful woman, first won the Miss World Dominican Republic 2025 title, which earned her a place at the global pageant.
Yoheiry Mola is a teacher, journalist, social worker and model all at once. She runs an initiative called “Voice of Tomorrow,” aimed mainly at teaching English to underprivileged children and young people and helping build their confidence and the skills they need for the future. First runner-up was Elizabeth Reines of Spain, and second runner-up was Miss Malaysia Tanusia Chetty. Several rounds were held involving the top six contestants.
In the end, judges asked them a variety of questions, after which the winner’s name was announced. Miss World is the world’s oldest international beauty pageant, founded in the United Kingdom in 1951 by Eric Morley.
Contestants are evaluated across several stages in the competition, including various preliminary challenges, closed-door interviews and segments held live on stage. This year’s Miss World pageant was held in Vietnam. This edition saw contestants from French Guiana, Eritrea, Mozambique, Pakistan and the Maldives take part for the first time. Meanwhile, Samantha Cuenca of Ecuador, Monica Harutyunyan of Armenia and Nadiratou Afolabi of Togo withdrew from the competition.
A total of 111 contestants took part in this year’s pageant. They were divided into four continental regions — Africa; the Americas and the Caribbean; Europe; and Asia and Oceania. Bangladesh’s contestant, Samanjar Saeed, made it into the top six in her continental region in the “Beauty with a Purpose” segment initially, but did not make the final top 40.
