Former Miss Switzerland and model Beatrice Keul has accused US President Donald Trump of rape. The allegation appears in a report prepared by Democrats. Shortly before the 2024 presidential election, Keul said Trump sexually assaulted her in November 1993. She now alleges that in the same incident Trump raped her. The Telegraph reported the allegation.

The report, published on Monday, sets out an investigation by Democratic members of the US House of Representatives into Trump’s alleged links to the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. The White House has denied the report’s allegations. A Trump spokesman described them as a “desperate attempt by deranged Democrats”.

The spokesman said the allegations were being raised to distract Americans from the momentum Republicans have gained from President Trump’s historic achievements. According to the report, Keul told Democratic committee staff in interviews over several weeks that she met Trump at a press conference about a beauty pageant at the Plaza Hotel in New York when she was 24. Trump owned the hotel at the time.

Keul alleges that Trump promised to arrange a visa for her and said he could secure her admission to New York University (NYU). The report quotes her as saying Trump told her: “I will take care of you.”

By Keul’s account, right after her conversation with Trump ended, Epstein approached her, introduced himself as “Don’s best friend” and invited her to a party at Mar-a-Lago. Epstein told her: “We throw a lot of parties with Don.”

Trump says his friendship with Epstein ended long before any suspicion of criminal activity arose. He has repeatedly called Epstein a creep and says he threw him out of the Mar-a-Lago club. The Democrats’ report says a Trump representative later allegedly invited Keul to meet the future president on an upper floor of the Plaza Hotel.

The report alleges that once she was inside, Trump grabbed Keul from behind and raped her, tearing her clothes and leaving her bleeding and bruised.

The report says Keul described it as a “brutal” rape. She alleges that afterwards Trump sat her on the edge of the bed, repeated his promises of a visa and a place at NYU, and asked her to promise to keep it secret. Trump allegedly said: “The show must go on.”

In her original allegation in October 2024, Keul said Trump sexually assaulted her at the Plaza Hotel in 1993. She told the Daily Mail at the time: “He kissed me on my lips and neck. He tried to lift my dress. He put his hands and touched wherever he could.” But she said then that it went no further. “I tried as much as I could. In the end I said, ‘Let’s talk first’ or something like that. Then he stopped.”

The former model, who is six feet one inch tall, suggested that her build was why the alleged assault did not go further.

The paper also reported that a longtime friend of Keul’s said she first told the friend about Trump’s unwanted sexual behaviour 20 years earlier, and that her account had not changed since.

In 2024, Trump’s then press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the allegations “fake”. A White House spokesman said Trump had been “totally exonerated” on anything related to Epstein.

He said: “This ‘report’ is nothing more than another desperate attempt by deranged Democrats to distract Americans from the momentum Republicans have because of President Trump’s historic achievements.”
