Iran’s military has described US president Donald Trump’s threat to wipe out Iran as an expression of “strategic frustration”. It also said Tehran is ready to respond with counterattacks more devastating and intense than at any time before.
In a statement, Iran’s General Staff accused Trump of using the stage of the UN General Assembly to “justify aggression” against Iran.
“These remarks are proof of the United States’ strategic deadlock in its aggression against the Iranian nation,” the statement said. “Trump’s repeated threats are not a display of strength but an expression of their strategic frustration.”
The statement warned that Iran’s armed forces are ready to deliver blows against the United States and Israel that will be far more “devastating and unpredictable” than ever before.
