Norway has announced an additional $13 million (about 1.6 billion taka) in aid for Palestinians.
The money will go to the occupied Palestinian territories through the United Nations and the World Bank, and includes budget support for the Palestinian public sector, Reuters reported. International support for Palestinians is needed now more than ever, Norwegian foreign minister Espen Barth Eide said in a statement.
He also criticised Israeli settlement building in the occupied West Bank, saying the settlements are illegal under international law.
Norway recognised the state of Palestine in 2024. It currently leads the international donor coordination group for the Palestinians.
