Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The meeting was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
A report from Indian media outlet NDTV said this was the first direct meeting between the two leaders since the US-Israel war against Iran began last February.
However, no details were disclosed about what the two leaders discussed.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Iranian Embassy in India said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met and held talks with Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
