Police have arrested a woman, Hosna Ara, 26, in Sunamganj’s Dowarabazar during a raid that recovered 630 pieces of yaba. She was arrested around 10:30pm on Wednesday (September 16). The arrested Hosna is the wife of Ayaz Ali of Kironpara village.
It is learned that, under the direction of Dowarabazar police station’s OC, Tariqul Islam Talukder, SI Sanjoy Dutta and an accompanying team raided Hosna’s room in the Kushiura area of Bangla Bazar union. She was arrested along with the yaba consignment during the raid. The seized yaba was valued at roughly 189,000 taka on the market. Dowarabazar police station’s OC said a case has been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act.
