A conference of unit presidents and secretaries of Jamaat-e-Islami was held in Chougachha, Jashore. The conference took place Monday afternoon at the Chougachha Kamil Madrasa auditorium. Upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Golam Morshed presided over the event. Jashore district Jamaat assistant secretary Professor Shamsuzzaman attended as chief guest.
Among those who spoke were upazila Jamaat Naib-e-Amir Maulana Nurul Islam, assistant secretary and journalist Rahidul Islam Khan, Master Kamal Ahmed, Maulana Gias Uddin, municipal Jamaat Amir Maulana Abdul Khaleque, and secretary Dr Zillur Rahman, among others. In his remarks, the chief guest said Jamaat’s message must reach every person in the country. At the same time, he said, the public must be told that if Jamaat gets the chance to run the state, it will do so with honesty and competence. Nearly 300 unit-level presidents and secretaries from across the upazila attended the conference.
