The identity and photo of the woman known as “Jane Doe,” one of the lead plaintiffs in a $72.5 million lawsuit against Bank of America over its ties to Jeffrey Epstein, has been made public for the first time. The woman is 37-year-old Julia Molchanova.
At just 22, she became entangled in the trap set by notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and she fought hard to escape it. Molchanova, then a young Russian design student, met Epstein by chance on a New York street in 2011, when she spoke very little English. Epstein offered to help her enroll at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
Molchanova alleges that behind that offer, sexual abuse against her began, along with a nightmare that would consume many years of her life. She says Epstein controlled everything from her clothing and how long she kept her hair to which doctors she saw, who she spent time with and how she spent money. She says a company was even opened in her name without her knowledge, and financial transactions she did not understand were carried out through it.
