With his remarks on “crossfire”, the inspector general of police has made himself and the police force controversial and embarrassed the government and the public, senior Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Shishir Monir has said.
He made the comment in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.
Sharply criticising the IGP, he wrote: “IGP sahib!!!! What did you mean to say, and what did you end up saying!!! You have made yourself and the entire police force controversial. You have embarrassed the government and the people too.”
Stressing the importance of handling the media, the senior lawyer added: “Facing the media is a great skill. Master it.”
