A decision on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir’s remarks about “crossfire” will be taken after the prime minister returns home from his visit to Japan, information adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman has said.

He said this in reply to journalists’ questions at a press briefing on the progress of various government activities at around 12pm on Tuesday.

Answering another question, he said: “The obstruction of a freedom fighter’s burial is extremely sad. They will have to face the consequences of this wrong.”

The information adviser added: “Ordinary people never accept such treatment of a person’s body after death. Those who commit such misdeeds will be condemned by society in the end, and they will find no support for what they have done.”
