Md Saiful Islam Joy, a senior assistant secretary, has been appointed private secretary (PS) to the Prime Minister’s principal secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office. The appointment was announced in a notification issued by the internal appointments branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Dr Golam Morshed, acting on the President’s order. It states that Saiful Islam Joy, who was serving as upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Rupganj in Narayanganj, has been transferred and appointed to the post of private secretary to the Prime Minister’s principal secretary. He had previously been under orders for transfer to the Cabinet Division. The order, issued in the public interest, takes effect immediately.
Md Saiful Islam Joy serves as secretary of Eofas and president of the 34th BCS All-Cadre Association. During his earlier tenure as UNO of Rupganj, he was praised for his honesty and dedication.
