Dengue claimed seven more lives across the country in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 1,753 more people were hospitalised nationwide after contracting dengue. This brings the year’s dengue death toll to 171, with a total of 56,916 people hospitalised with dengue so far this year.
The figures were released in a dengue bulletin issued Wednesday (September 16) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
According to the bulletin, among the patients hospitalised with dengue in the past 24 hours, 186 were in Barishal division, 177 in Chattogram division, 394 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporations), 175 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 174 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 349 in Khulna division, 83 in Mymensingh division, 53 in Rangpur division, and 9 in Sylhet division.
