Seven more people have died of dengue in Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, and 2249 new patients were admitted to hospital over the same period.
The figures were given in a dengue press release sent on Sunday by the Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
Of the patients admitted in the past 24 hours, 211 were in Barishal division, 217 in Chattogram division, 605 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporations), 227 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 201 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 297 in Khulna division, 155 in Mymensingh division, 224 in Rajshahi division, 82 in Rangpur division and 30 in Sylhet division, the release said.
Dengue has now killed 384 people this year, and 123,948 have been admitted to hospital with the disease.
