Jamaat holds Seerat conference in Kishoreganj

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized a Seerat conference on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in Kishoreganj.

The conference was held Saturday, August 29, afternoon at the district Shilpakala Academy, organized by Kishoreganj city Jamaat.

Jamaat’s Kishoreganj district Amir and central Majlis-e-Shura member Prof Md Ramjan Ali attended as chief guest. Special guests included Hazratnagar A U Kamil Madrasa Principal and district Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir Maulana Mohammad Azizul Haque, and district secretary Maulana Md Nazmul Islam.

Speakers included Shahjalal University of Science and Technology professor Maulana Dr Foyzul Haque, Mufti Ahmad Sharif bin Asad, and former principal of Karimganj Sobhania Kamil Madrasa, Maulana Abdul Bari Riyadi.

The event was chaired by Kishoreganj city Jamaat Amir Maulana A M M Abdul Haque, and conducted by city unit secretary Abu Naser Md Nayeem.

Speakers highlighted various aspects of the Prophet’s life and work, saying that following his teachings in personal, family and social life can help build a just and welfare-oriented society.

A large number of local residents, along with Jamaat leaders and activists, attended the conference.
