Tel Aviv has barred 12 British lawmakers from entering Israel. Those on the banned list are: Jeremy Corbyn, Zarah Sultana, Fahad Ansari, Naz Shah, Diane Abbott, Hannah Spencer, Carla Denyer, Siân Berry, Ellie Chowns, John McDonnell, Richard Burgon and Adrian Ramsay.

Israel reacted angrily to sanctions imposed by the U.K. over illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced the retaliatory measure against the British Labour government Tuesday afternoon. He also claimed the elected officials had taken part in antisemitic and anti-Israel activities.

Beyond this ban, Sa’ar announced several other retaliatory measures, including closing the British consulate in Jerusalem and removing British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat. He also said British activities training Palestinian Authority forces in Judea and Samaria, under the British support team based in Ramallah, would be halted.
