President Donald Trump’s childhood home has sold for 1.93 million dollars, or roughly 238.2 million taka. Trump lived in this Tudor-style house in Queens until he was four years old. It was built in 1940 in the “Jamaica Estates” neighbourhood by his father, real estate developer Fred Trump.
The house had long since left the Trump family’s ownership and had sat neglected and abandoned for years. The property’s seller, Tommy Lin, had bought it last year for 835,000 dollars, or roughly 103 million taka. He spent a further 500,000 dollars, or roughly 61.7 million taka, over eight months modernising the home’s interior decor and amenities.
The house’s ownership has changed hands several times. A few months after Trump became president in 2017, it sold for 2.14 million dollars, or roughly 264 million taka. In 2019, the house was listed for sale again, this time for 2.9 million dollars, or roughly 357.9 million taka.
