BNP marks 48th founding anniversary with rally, discussion in Chaugachha

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held a rally and discussion session in Chaugachha, Jashore, to mark its 48th founding anniversary. The rally and discussion were held Tuesday afternoon. Earlier, to mark the day, upazila and municipal BNP leaders planted trees at the grounds of various schools, colleges and madrasas across the upazila. A discussion session was later held at Press Club intersection in town.

The session was chaired by municipal BNP President and former municipal mayor Selim Reza Awliar. Upazila BNP President M A Salam spoke as chief guest. Moderated by upazila BNP organizing secretary Mostafizur Rahman Mostak, special guests included former upazila BNP president Zahurul Islam, upazila BNP general secretary and Hakimpur Union Parishad Chairman Masudul Hasan, and municipal BNP general secretary Abdul Halim Chanchal.

Also speaking were upazila BNP organizing secretary Advocate Alibuddin Khan, upazila Jubo Dal convener M A Mannan, upazila Krishak Dal President Azgar Ali, municipal Krishak Dal convener Milon Hossain, upazila Swechchhasebak Dal convener Mehedi Hasan, municipal Jubo Dal convener Salauddin Ahmed, upazila Chhatra Dal convener Jasim Uddin, and member secretary Emon Hasan Rocky, among others.

The event closed with a celebratory rally from Press Club intersection that toured the city’s main roads, drawing large numbers of party leaders and activists.
