Chhatra Shibir honors 600 GPA-5 achievers in Naogaon

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir held a reception for students who scored GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent exams in Naogaon.

The colorful event, themed “Building a Just Bangladesh through Merit, Honesty and Patriotism,” was held Saturday (Sept. 5) at 11 a.m. at the Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium. The event honored 600 students from the district who scored GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent exams, presenting them with crests, books and educational materials. Chaired by Azharul Islam, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Naogaon district unit, the chief guest was Naogaon-2 lawmaker Engineer Enamul Haque. Special guests included Guardian Publications Chairman Nur Mohammad Abu Taher, Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RACSU) Vice President Mostakur Rahman Zahid, and Shibir’s central human resources management secretary Noman Hossain Noyon, along with other central and local leaders who also spoke.

In his remarks as chief guest, lawmaker Engineer Enamul Haque said Shibir is a builder of capable people, and that today’s bright students will play a role in the country’s development. He said they must grow into honest and capable citizens, adding that Shibir works to shape students into honest and capable citizens.

The students shared their thoughts at the event, and both students and their guardians expressed enthusiasm at receiving the reception from Shibir.
