That is only 1.3 points below Elissa Slotkin's Jewish support two years ago, despite heavy AIPAC and Republican spending.

Abdul El-Sayed has won election to the US Senate, the first Muslim to do so. El-Sayed is a strong opponent of US funding for Israel, yet despite that position he won the support of Jewish voters.

Millions of Michiganders, a progressive super PAC in Michigan, said in an analysis that there was almost no difference in the state between Jewish voters’ support for Elissa Slotkin and for Abdul El-Sayed.

The advocacy group published the finding after analysing voting patterns in the state’s top 12 ZIP codes. According to its figures, El-Sayed won 60 percent of the Jewish vote there.

That is only 1.3 points below the Jewish support Slotkin won in the Senate election two years ago. El-Sayed held on to this significant support even though AIPAC and Republican groups spent millions of dollars trying to win Jewish voters over to Mike Rogers.
