Medipack Technologies Limited, in collaboration with Abbott Diagnostics, has successfully held Digital Discovery Day 2026. Healthcare professionals, laboratory specialists, hospital administrators and industry leaders from across the country took part in the event, held at the Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport in the capital. The theme of this year’s event was ‘Advancing healthcare through innovation.’
The event was inaugurated by Chandresh Madani, distributor operations manager, Core Diagnostics, Abbott, and Shamsuddin Zia, chief operating officer of Medipack Technologies Limited. They highlighted the importance of digital transformation, innovation and technology-driven solutions in modern healthcare.
In his inaugural address, Shamsuddin Zia said: ‘Healthcare is changing rapidly through digital transformation and intelligent diagnostics. Through Digital Discovery Day 2026, we want to create a platform where healthcare professionals can become familiar with global innovations, exchange knowledge and learn about technologies that will help improve the efficiency, accuracy and quality of patient care in Bangladesh’s healthcare.’
Expert presentations were given by Sihi Park, marketing manager, DHS and Systems, Core Diagnostics, Abbott; Christine Gopalakrishnan, digital health solutions executive, Core Diagnostics, Abbott; and Professor Brigadier General (retired) Dr S M Mahbubul Alam, MBBS, MCPS (clinical pathology), FCPS (histopathology), senior consultant, Evercare Hospital, Dhaka. The speakers shared views on laboratory automation, digital health solutions, connected diagnostics and the role of technology in improving healthcare effectiveness and the quality of patient care. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in diagnostic technology, laboratory informatics, workflow optimisation and digital healthcare solutions.
The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion and networking for healthcare professionals. The discussions emphasised how healthcare institutions can use innovative technology to increase efficiency, strengthen quality control and ensure improved clinical decision-making.
In his closing remarks, Nizamuddin Hasan Rashid, managing director of Medipack Technologies Limited, thanked all the speakers, participants and partners. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to bringing modern technology and innovative solutions to Bangladesh’s healthcare sector.
