Police have detained 23 people on suspicion of militancy during a secret meeting at Tejgaon Mosque in the capital’s Farmgate area. They were detained around 4:15pm on Friday and taken to Tejgaon police station, where police said officers from the Counter Terrorism Unit were on their way.
DMP Tejgaon division deputy commissioner (DC) Ibne Mizan said 23 people were detained as suspected militants during a secret meeting at Tejgaon Mosque, based on intelligence information.
