Chougachha Mridhapara Women’s College in Jashore has held an orientation and welcome ceremony for students of the 2026-27 academic session. The event took place in a festive atmosphere at 10am on Thursday in the college hall.
It was chaired by Masudul Hasan, president of the college governing body and general secretary of the upazila BNP. Upazila nirbahi officer Farzana Islam spoke as chief guest.
Acting principal Alamgir Siddiqui declared the event open.
Also present were Selim Reza, a member of the college’s executive committee; assistant professors Dr Abdus Shukur, Md Aktaruzzaman, Anisuzzaman, Nasir Uddin, Atiqur Rahman, Abul Kalam Azad, Titumir Rahman, Asaduzzaman Asad, Md Yakub Ali and Rina Nazma; and teachers, staff and students of the college.
The ceremony was followed by a colourful cultural programme, conducted by assistant professor Shahanur Hossain.
