The Election Commission has published the final voter list ahead of the upcoming local government elections. The total number of voters stands at 128,777,000. The list was published Monday afternoon.
Earlier, the draft voter list was published on August 9. At the time, EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said the update had added 309,315 new voters.
Under the commission’s plan, various tiers of local government elections will begin from this coming November. The commission is prioritizing union parishad and municipality elections and making final preparations to hold voting.
