A Seeratun Nabi (peace be upon him) mahfil was held in Nabiganj upazila, Habiganj, to mark the holy month of Rabiul Awal. The mahfil was organized Monday afternoon at Nabiganj New Bazar intersection by the upazila and municipal units of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Chaired by upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Ashraf Ali, the mahfil featured district Jamaat Ameer Maulana Kazi Mukhlisur Rahman as chief guest. Sylhet City Jamaat Secretary Md. Shahjahan Ali spoke as a special guest.
Mufti Ali Hasan Osama delivered the keynote address on the Seeratun Nabi (peace be upon him), with Mahmudur Rahman Dilawar speaking as a special discussant.
Among others who spoke at the event were district secretary Kazi Mohsin Ahmed and Islami Chhatra Shibir district president Layek Ahmed. Nabiganj municipal Jamaat Ameer Maulana Emdadul Haque delivered the welcome address at the start of the mahfil.
The mahfil, conducted by Nabiganj municipal Jamaat joint secretary Ehsanul Hadi Rumman and upazila Jamaat secretary Saidul Haque Sadik, was attended by leaders and workers of local Jamaat-e-Islami and affiliated organizations at various levels, along with the wider Tawhidi community and members of the public.
