According to a statement from Ananya’s family, she died in her sleep on the morning of July 15. Nearly a month after her death, her family disclosed the news last Sunday in a statement posted to her Instagram account.
“It is with immense pain that we share that Ananya passed away on the morning of July 15,” the family wrote in the statement. “She passed away peacefully in her sleep. For more than a year, she had been going through physical and mental discomfort. She fought like a warrior to overcome it.”
Alongside the announcement, Ananya’s family also shared several photos from her funeral on social media. Describing her as a “strong-willed girl,” the family said Ananya lived life on her own terms, “like a queen.”
The family’s statement continued: “We will deeply feel your absence. We ask everyone to pray for the peace of her soul. During this difficult time, we wish to maintain our privacy and silence.”
Ananya Raj was not only a film actress. She also appeared in music videos for various music production companies, including T-Series, Zee Music, and Times Music. “The Final Exit” is another of the films in which she appeared.
Her family has not disclosed further details about the cause of her death, saying only that she had been struggling with physical and mental discomfort for more than a year before she died. Following news of her death, fans and colleagues have expressed grief. Her family has asked for privacy to be respected during this time.
