A public awareness meeting on “Power Savings and Increasing Solar Power Use” was held Friday afternoon at KDA New Market in Khulna. The event was jointly organized by the district administration and West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd, Khulna.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner Hure Jannat attended as chief guest. KDA New Market Shop Owners’ Association President Abdul Gaffar Biswas spoke as special guest. The event was chaired by WZPDCL Supervising Engineer Md Arifur Rahman.
Speakers at the meeting highlighted the importance of saving electricity and called on everyone to increase the use of environmentally friendly solar power. They particularly advised commercial establishments and ordinary households to take advantage of solar energy and raise awareness to reduce national electricity waste.
