Kushtia’s Rabindra Maitree University opens admission fair

Rabindra Maitree University in Kushtia launched its “Fall 2026” admission fair on Monday (Sept. 7). The admission fair will run through Sept. 14.

A program was held on the university campus Monday morning to mark the occasion.

The event was chaired by Professor Ashraf Hossain, dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with Professor Dr. Ataur Rahman, dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and department head, attending as chief guest.

Md. Nawab Ali, the university’s acting registrar, spoke as a special guest.

Also speaking were Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, department head of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Professor Dr. Shamsul Iqbal Khan, department head of psychology, among others. The week-long education fair was then formally inaugurated by cutting a ribbon and releasing balloons.

A festive atmosphere prevailed across the campus with the presence of prospective new students for the admission fair. Students said they felt proud to have the opportunity to enroll at this historic educational institution in Kushtia.

Organizers said meritorious students applying during the fair can receive scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees. Students are also being offered attractive gifts, a full waiver of the application fee, a 5,000 taka discount on the admission fee, and a 25% discount on first-semester tuition.
