The Election Commission (EC) has asked political parties to submit their income and expenditure statements for calendar year 2025. Parties must submit their reports to the EC by July 31.
Election management branch officials disclosed the matter on Tuesday.
EC officials said July 31 falls on a Friday, so parties will have until the next working day. Under the law, parties must submit the previous calendar year’s income and expenditure statements by July 31 each year.
Mohammad Delwar Hossain, senior assistant secretary of the election management branch, said letters citing the legal requirement have been sent to the parties. All 59 registered parties must submit their statements.
