Meat seller fined for selling rotten beef in Madhukhali

A mobile court fined meat trader Zakir Hossain Tk 20,000 in Madhukhali, Faridpur, on charges of selling rotten beef. Roughly 80 kilograms of unfit meat seized from the shop was buried on the spot.

Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Roushana Jahan conducted the mobile court operation at Zakir Hossain’s meat shop at Bagat Bazar in Madhukhali upazila, Faridpur district, on Tuesday (July 7) afternoon. Upazila livestock officer Dr. K.M. Tanzir Naeem and members of law enforcement were present during the operation.

Madhukhali Upazila Executive Officer Roushana Jahan said roughly 80 kilograms of rotten beef were seized and destroyed, and the trader was fined. He was warned against repeating such practices in the future.
