Sheikh Misha Khatun was traveling from Khulna to Dhaka to attend the oral examination (viva) for the 50th BCS when she was killed in a road accident near Gopalganj.
Sheikh Misha Khatun was a student of the 35th batch in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Dhaka University.
The information was shared in a condolence message issued Monday by the office of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU). The message said Sheikh Misha Khatun worked as an examiner (chemical) at the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution in Khulna. Even after establishing herself in her career, driven by her determination to further pursue her dreams and future, she had set out for Dhaka to take part in the 50th BCS viva. That journey, however, became the final journey of her life.
The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union has expressed deep grief over Sheikh Misha Khatun’s tragic death. The condolence message said the loss of a talented and promising student in this way is an irreparable loss, and that her memory will live on forever among all who knew her.
The condolence message, signed by DUCSU General Secretary S.M. Farhad, prayed for the forgiveness and peace of Misha Khatun’s departed soul, and asked Allah to grant her a place in Jannatul Ferdous. It also extended deep condolences to her grieving family and relatives.
