Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Bogura district east unit has honored more than 300 outstanding students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC, Dakhil and equivalent examinations.
The reception was held Wednesday morning at Sajapur Kamil Madrasa auditorium in Shajahanpur upazila. The event was presided over by Shahriar Hasan Biplob, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Bogura district east unit, with Habibullah Khondaker, central library secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir, as chief guest.
The event, moderated by Bogura district east unit secretary Toufiqul Islam, was attended by special guests including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Bogura district unit Amir Principal Maulana Abdul Haque Sarkar; Dr. Masuda Karim, president of the Bogura district Jamaat women’s wing; Nur Mohammad Abu Taher, the district Jamaat’s publicity secretary and managing director of Guardian Publications; Shafiqul Islam, president of Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Bogura metropolitan unit; Maulana Md. Abdur Rahman, vice principal and Amir of Shajahanpur Upazila Jamaat; Maulana Shahidul Islam, secretary of the upazila Jamaat; engineer Ariful Islam, assistant secretary of Sariakandi Upazila Jamaat; Maulana Abdus Salam Juktibadi, president of the Bogura metropolitan Majlisul Mofassirin; and Maulana Abdul Mannan, principal of Sajapur Fultala Kamil Madrasa.
Speakers at the event congratulated the outstanding students and urged them to carry knowledge, ethics, patriotism and humanitarian values with them going forward. They said that alongside good academic results, building character and being responsible toward society were also essential.
Organizers said crests and gifts were presented to more than 300 outstanding students from the area under the Bogura district east unit who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC, Dakhil and equivalent examinations.
District and upazila-level leaders, teachers, guardians and the GPA-5 achieving students were present at the event.
