Two people died from dengue in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 996 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.
The information was disclosed in a dengue bulletin issued Saturday, August 29, by the Directorate General of Health Services’ Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room.
It said that among dengue patients hospitalized in the past 24 hours, 391 were in Dhaka division, 45 in Mymensingh division, 103 in Chattogram division, 263 in Khulna division, 36 in Rajshahi division, 21 in Rangpur division, 134 in Barishal division, and 3 in Sylhet division. As of August 29 this year, a total of 33,586 people have been hospitalized nationwide with dengue.
A total of 90 people have died from dengue this year.
So far this year, a total of 31,395 dengue patients have received treatment at hospitals, recovered, and been discharged.
Currently, 2,101 patients are under treatment in hospitals. From January 1 through December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue, and 413 died from the disease.
From January through December 31, 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue, and 575 died from the disease.
From January 1 through December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died from dengue, while a total of 321,179 people were hospitalized with the disease.
