Police in Chougachha, Jashore, arrested a man identified as Kanak Kumar, 39, with 31 yaba tablets.
Police sources said a team led by Sub-Inspector Hossain Patwari of Chougachha police station raided Barni village in the upazila’s Sukhpukuria union early Sunday (Sept. 6), acting on a tip-off. Kanak Kumar was arrested during the raid, and 31 yaba tablets were recovered from his possession. He is the son of Shyamal Kumar of Barni village (Hindupara). A regular case has been filed against him at Chougachha police station under the Narcotics Control Act.
Chougachha police station OC Mamunur Rashid said operations against drugs and other crimes will continue.
