BNP marks 48th founding anniversary with rally in Chaugachha

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) marked its 48th founding anniversary with a discussion meeting and rally in Chaugachha, Jashore. The event was held Saturday (Sept. 5) afternoon. A discussion meeting was organized at Press Club Mor in the town, after which a rally paraded through several major roads in the town.

The meeting was chaired by Yunus Ali Dafadar, senior vice-president of the upazila BNP and a former union parishad chairman. The chief guest was Sabira Sultana Munni, a reserved-seat member of parliament, member of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Agriculture, and president of Jhikargachha upazila BNP.

Moderated by central Chhatra Dal leader Chanchal Hossain, special guest remarks were delivered by municipal BNP president and former municipal mayor Selim Reza Awliar, and general secretary Abdul Halim Chanchal.

Also speaking were Jhikargachha upazila BNP senior vice-president Khorshed Alam, organizing secretary Muradunnabi, Chaugachha upazila BNP vice-president Habibur Rahman, Sadar union BNP former president Abdur Rahim, upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Ariful Islam Wasim, upazila Swechchhasebak Dal member secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique, former president of Livorno district BNP in Italy Afil Uddin Dafadar, Patibila union BNP organizing secretary Khairul Islam, Narayanpur union BNP leader Selim Reza, Pashapol union Jubo Dal leader Jasim Uddin Sarkar, Patibila union Jubo Dal leader Suman Reza, and municipal Chhatra Dal acting convener Hakim Reza, among others.
