Jamaat holds two-day training camp for advanced workers in Kushtia

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a two-day education camp for its advanced workers in Kushtia. The camp began Friday (Sept. 4) at the Abdul Wahid Auditorium at Kushtia Shariatullah Orphanage.

The two-day education camp was inaugurated by Jamaat’s Kushtia district ameer, Principal Khandaker A.K.M. Ali Muhsin.

A Quran recitation session was presented by Dr. Akhtar Hossain, professor of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies at Islamic University, Kushtia.

Under the direction of Jamaat’s Kushtia district secretary, Enamul Haque, speakers at the event included Jamaat’s Kushtia district Tarbiyati secretary, Abdus Sattar, who spoke on self-development and improving standards; Dr. Shahidul Islam Bari, central panel instructor of the Talimul Quran department, who taught a class on Sahih Talimul Quran on the importance of Quranic education; Professor Sujauddin Joarder, Jamaat’s mayoral candidate for Kushtia municipality, who spoke on all Jamaat workers being ideal social workers; and Dr. A.K.M. Mafizul Islam, professor of Arabic Language and Literature at Islamic University, Kushtia, who presented a Hadith session.

The event was attended by guest speaker Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a Ph.D. researcher and khatib of Dhaka’s Banani Central Jame Mosque. About 200 workers took part in the education camp.
