Police in Matlab, Chandpur, have arrested drug dealer Suman Pradhan, 32, who was wanted in 25 separate cases, following a raid.
He was arrested at his home in Chapatia village, Narayanpur union, in the upazila on Monday (September 14) afternoon, under three GR conviction warrants.
Suman is the son of Md Ebadullah Pradhania of the same village.
Police said a court order against Suman Pradhan includes five years and four months of rigorous imprisonment, a fine of 23,000 taka, and, in default of payment, an additional one year and three months of simple imprisonment.
Police station officer-in-charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman Manik said: “The accused has 25 other cases against him, including drug-related charges. In our special operation, he was arrested from in front of his home and handed over to the court. Police’s anti-drug operations to eliminate narcotics will continue.”
