CHUADANGA — Sadar police arrested Asaduzzaman Kabir, 58, general secretary of the Chuadanga district Krishak League. He is the son of the late Munsur Ali Biswas of Bhalaipur village in Alamdanga upazila.
Sadar police arrested him on Thursday afternoon, July 24, from in front of his home in Bhalaipur village, Alamdanga upazila, and took him to the police station, according to reports.
Chuadanga Sadar police station officer-in-charge Khaledur Rahman said Kabir was wanted on an arrest warrant in a case filed at the sadar police station on Nov. 20, 2024. He has been handed over to the Chuadanga sadar magistrate court. The court has ordered him sent to district jail.
Kabir was previously joint convener of the Chuadanga district Jubo League. He has been associated with Awami politics for a long time.
