Admission test dates have been announced for seven public universities for the current 2026-27 academic year. The information comes from recent press notices issued by the universities.
The institutions are: Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University, Khulna University, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), and the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
Among the seven universities, admission tests at Dhaka University, Khulna University and MIST will be held in December this year. Admission tests at Rajshahi, Jagannath and Chittagong universities, and at KUET, will be held in January and February 2027.
Dhaka University
Dhaka University’s (DU) admission test will begin December 5. The IBA unit test will be held that day. This will be followed by the ‘A’ unit test on December 12, the ‘B’ unit test on December 19, the Fine Arts unit test on December 22, and the ‘C’ unit test on December 26. Online applications for the admission test can be submitted from November 11 to 25.
Rajshahi University
Rajshahi University’s (RU) admission test for the 2026-27 academic year will begin January 8. The ‘B’ unit (business studies) test will be held on the first day.
The ‘C’ unit (science) test will be held January 9, and the ‘A’ unit (humanities) test on January 16. Preliminary applications will run from November 12 to 27.
Jagannath University
Jagannath University’s (JnU) admission test will begin January 1, 2027. The ‘A’ unit test will be held on the first day.
This will be followed by the ‘E’ unit test on January 8, the ‘B’ unit test on January 15, the ‘C’ unit test on January 22, and the ‘D’ unit test on January 23. Admission applications will open at 12 p.m. on November 15. Applications can be submitted until 11:59 p.m. on December 10.
Chittagong University
Chittagong University’s (CU) admission test will begin January 29. The ‘C’ unit test will be held that day. The ‘A’ unit test will be held January 30, the ‘B1’ unit test on February 3, the ‘B2’ unit test on February 4, the ‘B’ unit test on February 5, the ‘D’ unit test on February 6, and the ‘D1’ sub-unit test on February 8.
The ‘B1,’ ‘B2’ and ‘D1’ sub-unit tests will be held on the Chittagong University campus. Tests for other units will be held on the Rajshahi and Dhaka university campuses, in addition to Chittagong University. Online applications for CU can be submitted from November 15 to December 10.
Khulna University
Khulna University’s (KU) admission test will be held December 17 and 18. The ‘C’ and ‘D’ unit tests will be held December 17, and the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit tests on December 18.
However, among these schedules, any tests not yet confirmed through a final admission notice may be subject to change. Prospective students are therefore advised to follow the relevant university’s final admission notice and official announcements.
KUET test on January 8
Khulna University of Engineering and Technology’s (KUET) first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2026-27 academic year will be held January 8. This time, university authorities have decided to hold the admission test simultaneously in three divisional cities: Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.
MIST test begins December 18
The Military Institute of Science and Technology’s (MIST) admission test, in Dhaka, will be held December 18 and 19. The ‘C’ unit test will be held December 18, and the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit tests on December 19.
To ease difficulties for test-takers this time, the decision has been made to hold the test in seven divisional cities across the country. The cities are: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Chattogram, Sylhet and Mymensingh.
