No student passed at 312 educational institutions

The results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent exams have been published. Not a single student passed at 312 educational institutions across the country — even though the average pass rate across the nine general education boards along with the madrasa and technical education boards stood at 62.25%. Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon released the results on the morning of Monday, 10 August.

Students from various institutions across the country took part in this year’s SSC and equivalent exams. While the overall pass rate was 62.25%, the results of 312 institutions were zero — that is, not a single student who took the exam at these institutions achieved the minimum passing marks.

A total of 1,857,344 candidates took the SSC and equivalent exams this year, comprising SSC candidates under the nine general education boards, Dakhil candidates under the Madrasa Education Board, and SSC (Vocational) candidates under the Technical Education Board. Board-wise pass rates were: Dhaka 71.63%, Cumilla 65.42%, Rajshahi 63.67%, Jashore 66.27%, Chattogram 59.48%, Sylhet 58.63%, Dinajpur 58.5% and Mymensingh 57.39%.
