Barcelona sign Hamza on deal until 2030

Spanish club Barcelona have agreed a contract with Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim running until June 30, 2030.

Abdelkarim will officially sign the contract at Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s office at 5pm (CEST) on September 15. He will then face the media at the club’s commercial office.

The Egyptian forward joined Barcelona on loan on February 1, 2026. Although the loan was initially meant to run until the end of the season, he quickly caught attention. Abdelkarim scored on his debut for the under-19 side against Osca on March 8.

He scored nine goals in just six league matches, including a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 9-0 win over Monte-Carlo. In that same match, Barcelona secured the División d’Honor title.

Barcelona signed Abdelkarim permanently in the summer of 2026. He then took part in pre-season preparations with the first team under Hansi Flick. The forward was also the team’s top scorer in pre-season with four goals.

Abdelkarim made his competitive football debut for Barcelona on August 31 against Rayo Vallecano at the Spotify Camp Nou in Spain’s La Liga.
