Tiphaine Auziere, the daughter of France’s first lady Brigitte Macron, has confirmed a new relationship with a man 20 years her junior, sparking discussion in France and abroad.
Auziere, 42, is now in a relationship with 22-year-old Antoine Lecomte. Photos shared on social media show the couple together, and the relationship became public after a recent trip to Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, that Lecomte documented in a video Auziere also shared.
The couple met in Le Touquet, a coastal town in northern France, where Lecomte works as a kitesurfing instructor while studying business. A source close to Auziere said the two share an interest in travel, entrepreneurship and adventure.
Auziere is a lawyer by profession and has also written a novel, “Assises,” published in 2024. She previously drew media attention over a relationship with French television personality Cyril Hanouna, which ended in May 2026.
Her new relationship has attracted particular attention because of its echo of her mother’s own personal history. Brigitte Macron and French President Emmanuel Macron have a 24-year age gap between them; Brigitte was Emmanuel’s teacher when the two met, and they married in 2007.
Brigitte Macron has reportedly expressed support for her daughter’s new relationship, saying her daughter’s happiness matters most. Auziere’s two children have also met Lecomte.
The age gap between the two generations of relationships in the Macron family has drawn attention in French and international media. Both individuals are adults, and reaction on social media has been mixed.
