The health of Mirza Abbas — a member of the BNP standing committee, political adviser to the prime minister and member of parliament for Dhaka-8 — has improved, and he will return home soon after recovering fully, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said. He gave the information to the media in a message on Sunday.
“Mirza Abbas is recovering well. He will soon return among everyone, fully recovered,” he said. “Alhamdulillah, may he return to us soon in full health. I pray to Almighty Allah for his swift recovery.”
Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness while breaking his fast on 11 March. When his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital, where he underwent brain surgery.
On 15 March, he was flown by air ambulance to Singapore for advanced treatment. After a month of treatment there, his condition improved. On doctors’ advice, he was then taken to Prince Court Hospital in Malaysia for physiotherapy, where he is currently receiving treatment.
