Iranian media outlet Tasnim News Agency has claimed that seven US sailors were killed and several injured in a clash among crew aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.
Mehrr News, citing the report, said crew dissatisfaction had grown during the vessel’s prolonged deployment and families had protested. An adviser to US Central Command chief Brad Cooper reportedly visited the carrier to discuss the situation and was booed and struck with water bottles while addressing the crew.
The situation allegedly escalated into a clash involving knives and other sharp weapons. Iranian sources claimed seven sailors died and several were injured, but the claim has not been independently confirmed.
The report said the carrier had been deployed for 263 days and at sea continuously for 208 days, raising concerns about supply shortages and crew stress.
