The contracts of Cabinet Secretary Dr Md Nasimul Gani and Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Md Ehsanul Haque have been extended by one more year.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on the matter Monday.
Nasimul Gani was appointed Cabinet Secretary on a contract basis on February 16, 2026. Before that, he served as Senior Secretary (contract basis) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Senior Secretary Ehsanul Haque was appointed to the Public Administration Ministry on a contract basis on October 12 last year. Before that, he served as secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division.
