Top military officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye reaffirmed their firm commitment to protecting Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They made the commitment to defend Saudi Arabia at an emergency meeting of army chiefs from the three countries of the Mecca Defense Alliance on Friday, September 25, Al Arabiya reported.
The report said an emergency meeting was held in Riyadh with representatives of the three countries after repeated attacks on Saudi Arabia by Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Yemen.
Military officials discussed how their commitments could be immediately turned into effective military cooperation. Under the terms of the alliance, an attack on any one country means an attack on all parties to the alliance.
At the same time, the army chiefs of Turkiye and Pakistan highly praised the professionalism of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces in ensuring the safety of citizens and residents and protecting Saudi Arabia.
