Steps will be taken to cut fuel prices in the domestic market if prices fall on the world market, state minister for power, energy and mineral resources Anindya Islam Amit has said.
He said this on Friday after attending a meeting of the health management committee of Jashore General Hospital.
The government has no plan to raise fuel prices further at the moment, the state minister said. If oil prices fall on the world market, the government will try to adjust fuel prices to give people relief.
He also said the temporary problem with gas in the country has been resolved and gas supply is now fully normal.
