Alongside acting, many performers are also involved in business — restaurants, beauty parlors, even fashion brands. Popular small-screen actress Samira Khan Mahi has now added her name to the ranks of entrepreneurs.
The actress has taken on the role of director and shareholder at a car dealership called “SpeedTouch Autos.”
On this new venture, Samira Khan Mahi said: “I want to contribute to this company’s journey with my vision, energy, and ideas. Through SpeedTouch Autos, our goal is to create better quality, fair pricing, and competitive options for customers in brand-new, reconditioned, and pre-owned cars.”
Mahi had been planning to get into business for some time. Alongside acting, she is planning two additional businesses. This car business marks her first venture, formally launched.
Mahi said: “I had been planning a business alongside acting for a long time. I’m essentially moving forward with two different business plans. I’m announcing the car business to everyone first. I hope to be able to share news of the other one soon.”
She added: “I’ve cut back on the number of projects I take on over the past two years. At that point, I felt I should do something alongside acting. Acting is my source of income, but I have to be selective about the work I take on there, since I won’t do every project — only ones with stories I like. So for income, I had to think of something different. I needed another source of income. That’s why I got into business.”
